Uncle and aunty are wonderful people. Felt like home away from home. They guided us to all the things we could explore in coorg and the stay was delightful

Home away from home

One of the best homestay experiences you can have in Coorg, which in my opinion is one of the best ways of exploring a new place. You not only get to meet the local people but also learn about their lives and customs. Thimmaiah uncle and Latha aunty were the sweetest hosts to my mother and me. It is clear that they're doing this out of genuine interest and passion and make sure that they do whatever they can to make your stay the best. The room and house is idyllic, and so is the porch area and the herb garden. Spend a little time with uncle and aunty and they'll tell you about the medicinal properties of each of the plants there. Uncle can take you around the town area and Abbi Falls, and is more informed than any guide you'd find. The homestay is also home to two lovely bundles of joy- Lyka and Joy. I had the best time taking them both on walks with uncle. Can't wait to be there again 🙂

First of all I want to thank all the guests who gave genuine review, and it helped me to opt for vatsalya. I traveled alone to coorg and it would not have been memorable without the sweetest couple, uncle thimayya and latha aunty. They just treated me as their family member. Becoz iam alone uncle came forward to be my guide for a very reasonable price. Inspite having back pain he drove me very safely to talacauvery. Keeping my taste in his mind, uncle use to stop at various stops and explain the things. He never hurried me to rush, he was very patient. Now coming to latha aunty, she is a very beautiful coorgi women. If you get closer to her she shares a lot of information about kodagu culture. Aunty also prepares different types of wines (alcohol free), and sells for less price compare to outside shops. Also there are two other lovely hosts lyka and joy, if guests are scared of dogs than they will put them away. Seeing them i can say one thing that they are not at all money minded and immensely enjoy hosting guests. Aunty and uncle i know that you will read my review, hope to see you againnnnn...take care.

Me and my wife had a very pleasant stay at Vatsalya. Mr and Mrs Thimmaya were very gentle and courteous. We felt like we had gone to our relative's home. They both were very polite and caring. Excellent breakfast and coffee was served on both days. Room was clean and sufficient for any couple. Autos are available within 2-3 minute reach and restaurants, shops etc are within 3 kms proximity. Overall a very pleasant experience and would definitely recommend Vatsalya.

Mrs. & Mr.Thimmaia are very cute couple, both of them were very humble and helpful. One can easily trust on them and infact Mr.Thimmaia is a good guide also. Me and my wife never felt uncomfortable with them and thoroughly enjoyed our vacations.

My honest opinion

Good location and natural ambience are attracting . The house owner Mr Thimmaiah is very cooperative and his wife Mr Lata is very gentle lady. But two points are draw backs. Firstly the lights in living room is very dim and no any extra point of bulb or tubelight provided for reading. Secondly the water tapes are running very slowly. It took more than 15 minutes to fill a bucket. Needs immediate action. All other parameters are very good.

Dear Mr.Prasad,

Had you brought it to our notice, while you were staying at our homestay, we could fixed the same right then and there.
Anyways, thank you for bringing it to our notice through this feedback. It has been taken care off.

Best Regards,
Vatsalya Homestay
