Amidst Nature
Visiting From: Mumbai
Visited In The Month Off: October end

Coming from Mumbai, where one can't even hear their own voices, i was at peace to hear blood rush through my ears. I came to know that in this world the birds and insects still do exist and they too have some voice.
Visiting this place gave us some reboot to mind and body. I would recommend it any time to anybody.
I would like to thank Appaiah and team for making the experience great. The host Appaiah helped us right from understanding our requirements to making sure about food for kids, sightseeing and directions on moving about.
Keep the good thing going - Appaiah /team and coorghomestays.com

Totally loved the experience. Very nice cottage, excellent view! Lots of bird sighting. Food was healthy, nutritious and tasty! Both the staff, manager and owner were very helpful! Could not have asked for more. There was no reception when we reached the cottage, which was wonderful for me. Total break away from reality.

Stay inside the nature

First we are scared to get in the cottage as it is located remotely, but as we get used to the place it becomes beautiful. it is located in the coffee estate and close to the forest. The view from the balcony is awesome. for four days we forgot everything and enjoyed the stay. the rooms are clean, the service is good, the food is awesome. Special Thanks to the host for enquiring about the stay and guiding us and Santhosh the all rounder. the Food is fantastic.

Embraced Nature and Ourselves
Visiting From: Pune
Visited In The Month Off: July

The idea of a holiday destination is often to check-in to a hotel and then move around sight-seeing. Here the moment we entered Wildwoods cottage, we knew we weren't going anywhere for the next two days and we did exactly that. A beautiful house with a beautiful location and super friendly hosts. Got to experience the life style of the locals on our way down on the trek to the waterfalls. Highly recommended.

Lived with nature

Dear Appaiah & Chengappa

Some occasions in life like first childhood cycle,Marriage, will be a there for life time and our Coorg/Kodagu visit cum stay in your homestay is one of them. We were overwhelmed by the hospitality given by you people. What a energizing, stress-less stay. We lived with nature for couple of days and was provided with pristine, pure and divine environment. You have put in lot of effort in creating the environment. We enjoyed each and every moment. We want to keep this two days of stay close to heart and away from conscious mind. We were amazed by gorgeous voice of Chelvara falls, it looks like silver is being melted and poured by nature . The palace and it's surrounding, WOW!. We visited the Cauvery river origin and realized as if we were in a different world. The morning walk, rumbling voice of a close by natural stream, the warmth given by the homestay woods and dinner that you offered, 5 minute of deep energizing, yeah something in life happens once and memories last forever. I felt I lost something close to my heart on the way to Bengaluru but memories will be there forever.

Thanks

A serene quiet country side stay at Wildwoods cottage tossed up with wooden beautifully created place, pond and coffee and black pepper plantation ... The view was amazing, quiet and backed by express hospitality. A night to remember and cherish, The host is very polite and humble guy carrying his dad's legacy nicely and Santu the care taker is a nice and warm chap. I would like to come back ... Thanks

Living away from the world as we know it !
Visiting From: Chennai
Visited In The Month Off: August

Visited here with 3 friends. This place is an other-worldly (read nature) experience. Come here and you'll forget all about your everyday erratic life.

Colonel Appaiah gave us a visit on the day we arrived. He is a gentleman and adventurist. To reach the place is a challenge. The stay is every bit as pictured in the images - its a complete timber cottage set amidst plantations and dense towering trees. A total relaxing getaway but only for the bravehearts - the network and data only work at a particular spot and there is no TV, AC, Fridge etc..

Food was good but we found the desserts to be average. Bonfire was set up for both the nights we stayed and it was a blast. The colonel also arranged for a pickup to go trekking at a nearby point and en route we stopped at chelavara falls. It was a memorable experience.

Will visit again in future and I'll recommend to bravehearts who can cope without the everyday luxuries. Happy traveling..

Great Experience
Visiting From: Bangalore

A great place to relax. Out of e-world amidst of continuous rain and nature. Nice hospitality.

The antique wood work was awesome.

Only the generator was not working properly. That has to be taken care.

Looking forward to visit again.

The Best in Coorg
Visiting From: Bangalore
Visited In The Month Off: May

I would suggest every one here. This is the best place to relax and rejuvenate. Hospitality of the host and people is the best we found. Food quality and taste --> 5 star to chef Mukunda. Chicken, fish and pork were the best from his Kitchen. Nelson who takes care of the quest so well that would get everything handy in Wildwoods. We met the Owner Colonel Appaiah and his brother who were so kind enough and patient to explain about the place. We can know here whats really pin-drop silence mean.
