Awesome homestay, delicious meals, neat and clean rooms, sit out areas to chill on both sides. We were not able to go out for sightseeing due to floods, but this home stay made us felt like we are doing nature's sight seeing as it's really deep inside coffee plantations.
Owner was very co-operative and kind as well.

Loved the stay and will do it again !!!

Being a nature lover, I found the place close to mother nature and with nice serene, refreshing , beautiful atmosphere. I just loved the stay surrounded by lush green coffee estate.
Loved the homely atmosphere, caring nature of the land owner Mr. Somaiah and his family !! and of course the home made food !! Given a chane, I prefer to choose the same place to stay if I visit coorg again and 100% recommend to my friend and family to choose this property for staying there.
I wish to stay little longer next time!!

Loved it. Blissful

Our whole group enjoyed the stay and food at Verdure. Especially our children fell in love with your place and did not want to leave. Food was very good and the hospitality too. Fully satisfied with the 2 Nights spent in your peaceful coffee estate. We will share our memories with friends and family and hopefully they will also visit your place. Thank you.

Great place to stay in Coorg

This was a bit low on the list of homestays we drew up when planning for Coorg. And, as such we did not have high hopes from this place. Rarely have I been proven so wrong.

Set amidst a sprawling coffee estate, this homestay provides a perfect setting for those craving a bit of seclusion. Situated about 21 Kms from Madikeri, getting to this place can be a bit tricky (tip: it provides a great opportunity to use the offline maps feature of Google Maps). However, the owner, Mr. Somaiah, is readily available on the phone and can guide you to the place.

***Note: Coorg is notorious for its lack of mobile networks in most areas except main city areas and near homestays. So, do keep offline maps handy.***

The owners are very friendly and provide you with everything you need. The rooms are quite cozy and are equipped with all basic necessities. Like most homestays, you can get lunch and dinner if you pay extra. And, it's worth paying extra given the taste. Apart from the usual stuff such as chicken, rice, chapati, etc.

You can take a stroll among the coffee plantation as well as take a 'behind-the-scenes' look into how the elixir that drives the IT sector in India is made. They even use the coffee beans to make a Coffee whiskey that is to die for. Else, if you are not a whiskey person, you can have a taste of their apricot brandy. For teetotallers, their variety of non-alcoholic wines provide a good option.

If you are traveling with a driver, they provide separate accommodations for the driver as well.

A serene homestay

I am going to write only good things about this place because I am unable to find any faults..

This place is approx 20 kms away from main town Madikeri.. You can call Mr Harish after reaching Madikeri for route details as Google maps can be confusing at time and one might not get proper internet connection inside the woods. It's so quiet and serene. A definite recommendation for people wanting to stay away from the hustle bustle of the main town. Mr Harish was very helpful in arranging cabs for us for sightseeing.

The food, OMG!!! Out of this world, even finger licking good would be an understatement. I cant put it into words, one has to eat it to enjoy it completely.

The host and the staff are so homely and cheerful people. They will provide with almost anything you ask for with a smile on their faces. It truly feels like a homestay.

Thanks Mr Harish and family for giving us such wonderful memories.

We were looking for a quiet, remote and serene place to take a break at, before we resumed our hectic schedules after summer. Verdure homestay proved to be just the right place. The rooms are really cozy, and the estate gives great vibes of a secluded, tranquil environment. Mrs Harish's food was great, and so were the staff, always polite and ready to be of any help. Any special request for food or travel, if informed beforehand - would be taken care of by Harish himself. Would definitely recommend this place if you want a quiet break, far away from the din and bustle of city life.
