Excellent Food and Hospitality

A place of silent, serene and calm beauty is warmly welcomed by sweet couple Manu and his wife. Utmost warm nature of the couple was like a tip on the ice berg which added on to the scenic location of this home stay. Clean rooms, silent serene beautiful surroundings in the midst of coffee plantations overlooking fields, good breakfast with dinner was nurtured by the couple themselves. morning walks was a soulful experience. Fish Fry was awesome.

Hospitality at it's best

We had a absolutely delightful weekend in Kaveri Riverside Homestay. The hosts were a very wonderful couple who took care of every small detail. Clean rooms, spacious bath, wonderful home-cooked food is what you can expect. Our daughter thoroughly enjoyed herself with the friendly trio of German Shepards, the guinea pigs, the wild frogs and the cats on the property. This is riverside in the very literal sense of the word. The Kaveri flows a few steps away from the house. Anglers would do good to carry a light rig. Local knowledge suggests fishing with bread bait for carp, masheer, and snakehead. This is something we missed out on for the lack of a rig. With the 3 burly but very friendly German Shepards, bringing pets would be not be advised. As for the food, most of the vegetables are homegrown. Aunty's fish fry is not something to forget in a long time. The veggie fare is excellent too. As for places to visit nearby, Dubare elephant camp is about half an hour's drive. The monasteries in Kushalnagar and Nisargadhama is accessible at about an hour's drive. The hosts will be more than willing to suggest and guide. Overall, this is a place to visit again just for the hospitality.

Its really a nice place, was lucky to get booking due to last minute planning, this is really a home stay - Mr & Mrs Manu really make you feel a part of their extended family. The place is good for chilling out, Aunty's wonderful food is the icing on cake. Visited in month of March and its pleasant during morning and evenings, as the property is river side you can enjoy river dip during afternoons if you are game for it 🙂 over all had a real nice time in Coorg & awesome food & stay, nice place to unwind.

Fabulous Stay

Visited with my family, had fabulous stay. Both Manu uncle and Meena aunty make you stay at home. The place is great with balconies opening into the nature filled with coffee plantation, avacado trees, and various unique trees. The place is beautiful and imagine dining next to river Cauvery. It's perfect place to relax. And the German shepherds are amazing, they are so fond of the guests. We being dog lovers had great fun playing with the pets. Uncle directed us to many places and the best temple we visited was Igguthappa temple located near Kerala border (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Igguthappa), which is a trip by itself. Located in the middle of hills with picturesque views. It's fascinating to hear to both hosts about stories about how they started the Home Stay. We met many guests in this process who also felt very comfortable staying here. We will certainly go back to Kaveri Homestay.

It was really an awesome experience offered by Mr & Mrs Manu during our two days stay. Both of them jointly made our stay memorable mainly through the hospitality offered. They were always smiling and absolutely courteous and very much caring. They were working through out the day to provide best possible services by offering heavy and local breakfast and special Coorgi dinner. In dinner we were offered many different items on the table. The route plan suggested by Mr Manu made my day trip very comfortable. The room was quite spacious. Bonfire in midst of coffee plantation and the bank of river Kaveri along with the information given by Mr Manu on the culture, cuisine and many more of the Coorgs was very interesting and enjoyable. This has become my destination in Coorg. It was just an experience of stay in a home away from home. I would recommend everyone to gain a beautiful experience of homestay here.

Great place to stay

Kaveri Homestay is a great place to stay. The house is very nicely maintained with spacious rooms making it ideal for large groups of friends or family. The owners are very friendly. The house is surrounded by lush green plants and trees. They also have very loving and friendly pets. The food provided during the stay was very nice. They used to offer about 6-7 options in veg and 2 options in non-veg daily. However, since the homestay is located in midst of nature and plantations, we have to adhere to night time limit of 11:30 pm everyday. So if you are in a big group and would like to relax by the bonfire at night, you will have to inform them in advance. Overall a very good place to stay.
