Where do I begin, The place is absolutely stunning. What's more beautiful than the place is the people who run it. The host is one of the kindest person I've ever met.The host, Urvashi, took care of us really well. The food was as good as it could get at home. Their love for animals is something we connected and could appreciate it the place on another level. Will go back again, maybe during the monsoon. Highly recommended.

A paradise on earth

Me, my husband, along with my 15 yr son, stayed in Springdale for three nights. It was one of our best holidays and pollution- free Diwali spent completely in the lap of nature. Urvashi is an amazing host, very caring and down to earth and always there to ensure that you are comfortable. My son really enjoyed the stories and the history she shared with us about the place and the region.Authentic local cuisine always cooked and served fresh. The drinking water boiled on chulha has a very specific and soothing aroma. The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious and well ventilated. Balcony is the best place to relax, read books or for your morning workouts. No mosquitoes as the windows have nets. The lush green surroundings and the netted cricket ground made our stay very enjoyable. The memories of our stay will be etched on our minds forever.

Beautiful stay amidst coffee plantation

Gorgeous home stay amidst coffee plantations. The surroundings were so beautiful, peaceful and serene. Clean rooms and bathrooms make you feel very comfortable. Authentic coorg cuisine served by a very hospitable care taker, makes you look forward to your next meal. Including breakfast was coorg preparation, that was indeed delicious. Dr Sunil was very hospitable and welcoming. We do hope to go back and send our families and friends for a wonderful experience. We regret checking out and moving to Madikeri on our last day. Wish we stayed back at Springdale. Lesson well learnt.

An Extraordinary Homestay experience

Before I get into details, I must say that I can't wait to visit this place again!Urvashi was an amazing host, always keen to ensure that her guests are at ease and being treated well. Her passion towards welcoming the guests, is evident from the point of booking until the end. She promptly called me after I made the reservation and provided me with accurate directions to reach the place (the Google Maps location is correct too). The rooms are lavish and reminiscent of colonial India, with tiled roofs and generous use of wood inside the house. It's got a peculiar Ruskin Bond'esque feel to itself (reminded me of my childhood in the hills of North East India). The food was delicious, prepared by the in-house cook. Especially since the preparation was light on oil and spices, we couldn't have asked for more. The spread was a good mix of local Coorg cuisine and the familiar north-Indian options (Chapati, plan-rice, etc.). All of this, freshly prepared just before you consume.Sitting within pristine corners of nature, the ambience of this place is refreshingly quiet and the perfect recluse from the daily hustle of urban life. For us coming from Bangalore, it was exactly what we were looking for. When we visited, it was just the beginning of the monsoons. Temperatures were always around 20 degrees Celsius, making it ideal for a glass of Red wine and conversations. I haven't had such peaceful sleep in ages thanks to the calming sounds of nature - the rain, birds, crickets. To conclude, I severely recommend this place to someone looking to unwind from city life and truly refresh before getting back into the grind.

It was wonderful experience staying at Spring Dale. The bungalow is a huge coffee plantation, with nice gardens around. The rooms have a gallery which overlooks the coffee plantations. It is a perfect place for a peaceful vacation among lush natural surroundings. The host is a doctor. He and his wife took good care of us. Food was excellent too, especially the local coorg cuisine. Hope to visit again in future. Many Thanks! 🙂

Great Place and Great People.Words cannot explain the warmth and hospitality experienced in Springdale. The hostess is wonderful and so caring that she called the previous day to make sure that we have got clear directions to find the place. The charming bungalow is a paradise out of this modern world. The best part of the stay was to wake up in the morning to the sound of birds. We were treated to true Coorg hospitality with fantastic authentic Coorg cuisine .It was like visiting your family and we shall definitely return back.

Spring Dale is an exquisite serene getaway from the hustle of the city. The old world charm of the bungalow will take you back in time. The splendid plantation is mesmerising with it's lovely trails. The verdant garden is resplendent with the most beautiful flowers and plants adorning the natural foliage. The lip smacking pandi curry could turn a vegetarian into a carnivore! The host is as warm and welcoming as the home! A wonderful, serene experience!

Comfy relaxed stay

 by ASHWIN KUMAR

Had a relaxed and pampered stay. Great local cuisine, tastefully done up indoors and outdoors, charming helpful hostess. First evening had an exclusive bonfire. No TV, WiFi distractions, though facilities exist. Chose the ideal season in October. Best part is personal attention by the mgmt and property has only 3 rooms, so no noisy boisterous crowds. Overall, strongly recommended.
