Serenity country side

 by Mridul
Visiting From: New Delhi
Visited In The Month Off: December

A serene quiet country side stay at Karada cottage tossed up with wooden beautifully created place, pond and coffee and black pepper plantation ... The view was amazing, quiet and backed by express hospitality. A night to remember and cherish, Mukul is very polite and humble guy carrying his dad's legacy nicely and Santu the care taker is a nice and warm chap. I would like to come back ... Thanks

Living away from the world as we know it !

Visited here with 3 friends. This place is an other-worldly (read nature) experience. Come here and you'll forget all about your everyday erratic life.

Colonel Appaiah gave us a visit on the day we arrived. He is a gentleman and adventurist. To reach the place is a challenge. The stay is every bit as pictured in the images - its a complete timber cottage set amidst plantations and dense towering trees. A total relaxing getaway but only for the bravehearts - the network and data only work at a particular spot and there is no TV, AC, Fridge etc..
Food was good but we found the desserts to be average. Bonfire was set up for both the nights we stayed and it was a blast. The colonel also arranged for a pickup to go trekking at a nearby point and en route we stopped at chelavara falls. It was a memorable experience.

Will visit again in future and I'll recommend to bravehearts who can cope without the everyday luxuries. Happy traveling..

A great place to relax. Out of e-world amidst of continuous rain and nature. Nice hospitality.

The antique wood work was awesome.

Only the generator was not working properly. That has to be taken care.

Looking forward to visit again.

The Best in Coorg

I would suggest every one here. This is the best place to relax and rejuvenate. Hospitality of the host and people is the best we found. Food quality and taste --> 5 star to chef Mukunda. Chicken, fish and pork were the best from his Kitchen. Nelson who takes care of the quest so well that would get everything handy in Karada. We met the Owner Colonel Appaiah and his brother who were so kind enough and patient to explain about the place. We can know here whats really pin-drop silence mean.

Nice stay with great hospitality.Good local food. Total relaxation. Just sit in the balcony and watch the nature. Came back to Mumbai with refreshed and calm mind.
Suggestion: Need to have fan in the room which is required especially when you visit in the month of May.

Overall great stay.

Excellent Place for Nature Lovers

 by R Venkateswarlu
Visiting From: April 19th 2015

Excellent place for Nature Lovers, Location of the Cottage is very nice. Cottage made with wood and looking very good.

Only thing is lack of maintenance.. Rooms are not cleaning on daily basis when guests are there. Working people also not clean, and they need to improve food quality also.

Apart from this everything is fine. We hope when we visit next time these things will be taken care.

Excellent Homestay at Coorg!!

 by Kallol Kumar
Visiting From: March End

It is an excellent stay in the midst of nature with very scenic view from the balcony. The cottage is in the middle of coffee plantation and the cottage is completely focusing on wooden restotration with some antic piece of work. Food and staff were excellent.. It is home away from home...

Life in Lap of Nature

Something to Cherish forever...while staying in the Cottage. Best home-stay in mid of Nature beauty. Excellent staff, home-made food....bonfire and relaxing time with your loved one....what else you need more than this.

Peaceful environment, away from artificial and mechanical life. A place where one should must visit and stay to see how life is so beautiful away from phone, TV and crowd.

I would recommend everyone to stay there while visiting Coorg .

Silent Stay amidst green in Woods

 by Blesson
Visiting From: DEC 2014

At last we reached the cottage from hours of our travel. The location and the cottage was quite surprising. We looked at it for a few minute before entering. Everything is wood over the wood/brick.
It was a nice and pleasant stay. Good food from their own farm were prepared. The proprietor as well as the staff were quite courteous.
Spl thanks to Mr. Santo (the Chef of the House).
We would recommend the stay here if the guest want perfect and peaceful rest.
ATB.
