Fantastic experience at hideout. Starting from hospitality to food, atmosphere, service and location. Everything was so perfect that we fell in love with that place completely . A special mention to a person by name Mr. Prakash who took care of us and made us feel at home.

Excellent, Calm & Nature Friendly place

It is a independent house and has 2 spacious rooms with attached bath and 1 small hall, where they serve food. Next to the homestay is where the caretaker Mr.Prakash stays with his wife and his son - a handsome teen. As we were 2 Couple, the home was a perfect fit for us and we were the only guest there. It is a very peaceful and serene place. On request we were taken for a coffee plantation walk by Ashok and we did see 2 Tent which is around 800 meters from the home where we were staying. The tents are next to a jungle. But it was still not operational. Food provided was fresh home cooked food and was tasty. Plus point of this homestay is that it is only 6 kms from Madikeri city, so all tourist spots that are in and around Madikeri are within 10 to 15 km radius of the homestay. The only network that is accessible in this place is BSNL. But, we were glad to spend 2 Days at this place without our phones bothering us. 🙂 Had a very good and enjoyable stay. Many thanks to the staff.

Had an average stay with good food, but hospitality was far less than expected. The reviews here and pictures on Facebook are quite different than my experience. Was never taken to the water stream or hiking and did not see any tents. Many such pictures are put up on their Facebook wall, we were never taken to these places and hospitality was completely missing, except for Mr.Prakash, who was the only hospitable person there. He also served us lunch, which they don't usually do. But he was very busy with farm work, we had to really force him to take us to a Coffee farm atleast, then he finally took us to a very small estate. Nothing else we saw like the water stream etc. our experience was not at all of homestay, there are 2 families staying there, no one spoke to us well, except for Mr.Prakash. Such an experience was not worth it for 2650 rs, one can find much cheaper and better homestays than this one.

Dear Ms.Bulani,

The images at our facebook page, showing people indulging in some of the activities are not part of the reservation. No where at our listing on , we have mentioned that they are part of the room reservation. We regret any confusion that was caused, after you visited our facebook page.
But, please note that Ashok is there to help the guests and had you requested him, he could have taken your near the stream or for a trek.
Also the tented cottages are yet not functional and we have not started to take reservation for the same. To avoid any further confusion, we have decided to delete our facebook page. Only what is on offer at our listing at will be final.
We do understand that you were desirous to stay at the tented accommodation, though the reservation for them has not started yet. Please note that, we would like to extend a complimentary stay at the cottage, at any time this year after 15th August(tentative), when we plan to open them for booking. Also, we will arrange a trekking trip for you, complimentary. We sincerely regret any inconvenience and confusion caused.

Lush greenary and the chirping of birds greets you at the Coorg Hideout. Spacious and clean rooms and bathrooms set in a rural backgroud makes it a very comfortable stay. We had a memorable holiday at the Coorg Hideout.

I just loved the greenary and peacefullness of this place. The misty mornings and the chill nights makes it the perfect homestay destination in Coorg. The simple yet home cooked food is a mouth watering add on.

Home away from home. Tasty home made food, clean and serene atmosphere. Beautiful coffee estate is not only enticing to eyes but also ideal for trekking, proximity to tourists spots is another plus point. Well maintained, clean and spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. All this made our family outing a memorable one.
